Abstract

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Sulawesi Tengah at January 2025 was 0.02 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.90. The highest inflation was seen in Luwuk at 0.95 percent with a CPI of 107.25, while the deflation was seen in Kabupaten Tolitoli at 1.27 percent with a CPI of 108.91.
Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in all expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 2.43 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 0.58 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 0,64 percent; Health Group of 2,48 percent; Transport Group of 0.65 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 0,92 percent; Education Group of 4.15 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 2.93 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 6.51 percent. While, the Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group and Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group recorded a deflation at of 10,87 percent and 0.08 percent, respectively.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in January 2025 was 1,18 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation in January 2025 was 1,18 percent.
