Abstract

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Sulawesi Tengah at March 2025 was 1.88 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.950. The highest inflation was seen in Luwuk at 2.44 percent with a CPI of 109.61, while the lowest was seen in Kabupaten Morowali at 1.36 percent with a CPI of 109.73.
Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase a number of expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 3.58 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 0.80 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 0,74 percent; Health Group of 2,48 percent; Transport Group of 1.20 percent; Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group of 0,02 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 0,87 percent; Education Group of 4.21 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 3.10 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 7.78 percent. While, the Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group recorded a deflation at of 2,87 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in March 2025 was 2,82 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation in March 2025 was 1,67 percent.
