The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Sulawesi Tengah at December 2024 was 1.29 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.16. The highest inflation was seen in Luwuk at 2.75 percent with a CPI of 108.86, while the deflation was seen in Kabupaten Tolitoli at 0.35 percent with a CPI of 110.26.

Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in all expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 1.07 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 0.25 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 0.04 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 0,42 percent; Health Group of 1,39 percent; Transport Group of 0.12 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 1,12 percent; Education Group of 4.30 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 3.28 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 6.75 percent. Meanwhile, the Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group recorded a deflation of 0.04 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in December 2024 was 0,32 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation in December 2024 was 1,29 percent.
