On Monday, June 16, 2025, the Central Sulawesi Provincial Office of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) held an event titled “Internalization of Service Standards and Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 at BPS Central Sulawesi: Capacity Building for National and International Standardized Public Services Referencing the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System” at the BPS Central Sulawesi Auditorium.

The event was officially opened by the Acting Head of BPS Central Sulawesi Province, Mr. Imron Taufik J. Musa, M.Si. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the crucial role of service standards in maintaining public trust, particularly in relation to the Integrated Statistical Services (ISS) provided by BPS Central Sulawesi.

The session continued with a comprehensive presentation on the four key service standards by Mr. Bahtiar, S.ST. The main objective of this presentation was to enhance participants’ understanding of the entire range of services offered at the ISS, enabling all staff members to contribute effectively in line with the Service Standard SOPs, while also being mindful of employee needs.

Subsequently, Mr. Hespri Yoemeldi, S.ST., M.T., delivered a session on ISO 9001:2015 Awareness Internalization. This session aimed to increase staff awareness of the importance of optimizing service delivery processes to achieve the best possible outcomes. Excellence in consumer evaluation is considered the ideal benchmark and the ultimate goal of service delivery.

As part of the capacity building component, the event featured external speakers. Mr. Moch. Anang Iswanto from the State Treasury Office (KPPN) Palu, who has obtained ISO 9001:2015 certification, shared his experiences regarding the certification process, emphasizing the importance of engaging all organizational elements in achieving compliance.

The final speaker was Mr. Buntoro Basuki Rahmat, General Manager of Hotel Santika Palu, who presented insights on service quality. He stressed that service quality must be prioritized in customer service delivery, citing the hospitality industry as a prime example of service practices focused on customer satisfaction.

The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the external speakers, in recognition of the valuable knowledge and insights they shared during the sessions.
