Abstract

  • The percentage of people living in poverty in September 2024 was 11.04 percent, decreased by 0.73 percent from March 2024.
  • In September 2024, there were 358.33 thousand poor people in Sulawesi Tengah, decreased by 21.43 thousand people compared to March 2024.
  • The percentage of the poor in urban areas in September 2024 was 7.34 percent, down by 1.27 percent point compared to March 2024 (8.61 percent). On the other hand, the percentage of the poor in rural areas in September 2024 was 12.90 percent, and it down by 0.43 percent point in March 2024.
  • Compared to March 2024, the number of poor people in urban areas in September 2024 decreased by 12.07 thousandspeople (from 91.92 thousands people in March 2024 to 79.85 thousands people in September 2024). Meanwhile the number of the poor in rural areas decreased by 9.36 thousands people (from 287.84 thousands people in March 2024 to 278.48 thousands people in September 2024).
  • The poverty line in September 2024 was IDR608,687/capita/month. It is consist of the Food Poverty Line at IDR456,444 (74.99 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line at IDR152,243 (25.01 percent).
  • In September 2024, poor households in Sulawesi Tengah had an average of 5.43 household members. Thus, the poverty line per poor household on average is IDR3,305,170/poor household/month.
